All gameplay is identical to B/R/Y as mentioned above with the exception of the Rainbow Isle's. If you enjoy playing games that take time and are quick to adapt to then this is the game for you.Īlthough, if you prefer the newer version of pokemon i would not recommend this version as it is merely an update on graphics. If you prefer the old pokemon to the new pokemon this is the game for you. It does however offer an extended 'gameplay' area after the pokemon league which involves both the National Pokedex (allowing you to catch pokemon from Silver/Gold) as well as several unique islands to complete extra "missions" on. The plus side of Fire Red or Leaf Green are the updated graphics which are on par with Ruby and Saphire which have been the latest 'new pokedex' pokemon games and therefore most up to date. Blue/Red/Yellow (here-after B/R/Y) have been out years before it.
